HELLO!

I'm Caroline Sliver, a creative and detail-oriented storyteller. Let me tell you a little about myself.

As I complete my final year as a Marketing and Digital/Print Journalism Schreyer Honors Scholar at The Pennsylvania State University, I'm looking to begin a career in social media and writing on the East Coast.

​

My experiences in the classroom have given me a strong foundation in communication and advertising fundamentals, including hands-on experience in content creation, writing, editing, branding, and graphic design. I've dived into hands-on opportunities, such as working with Starbucks and Decoded Advertising through the Penn State Prime Branding & Advertising Practicum and completing my Thesis in Marketing.

Through my 2023 summer internship with WTAJ-TV, I garnered over 118,000 page views across more than 85 stories and increased social media engagement through quality reporting, fact-checking and search engine optimization. During my 2021-2022 Social Media & Communications Internship with Mutual Benefit Group, I blogged, planned social media content, created a branded media library to offer to clients and communicated with a variety of audiences.

My undergraduate involvements have also been integral in building my marketing skillset. I worked as an Arts/Entertainment Reporter for Penn State's independent student-run newspaper, The Daily Collegian, which allowed me to develop a clear authorial style and a thoughtful point of view. Additionally, I created and managed social media content for Queer Business Leaders, Gender Equity Coalition and Gender & Sexual Diversity in Schreyer through building creative campaigns to generate awareness, buzz and loyalty.
